I have finally done it, I’m about to show you my skincare routine.
I have been going on about Korean skincare to anybody that will listen, and how TK Maxx has the best stuff.
So I have tried to incorporate the Korean 10 step skincare routine into my daily life, now I don’t do all the 10 steps just yet but its what I working towards. I have seen a huge difference in my skin, it really starting to clear up. I just have a few chicken pocks/acne scares left to get rid of.
99% of the products I use I got from TK Maxx except for the lush face spray, the body shop masks and the anti-blemish moisturiser.
Here is my face after a long day you can see I’m shining for the gods, and you can see the mark of where my glasses sit. (Also I’m growing out my eyebrows so ignore them for now)
Oil Cleanser
I use an oil cleanser to remove my makeup. If you read my TK Maxx skincare haul and review you would know that not only does it break down makeup, but any pollution or dirt. I even use this when I haven’t worn any makeup, just cause it gets rid of that urban dirt you can get by living in the city.
Foam Cleanser
Next, I use a foam cleanser to help get rid of the oil that’s left from the oil cleanser. As I have oily skin I have to get rid of any excess oil otherwise I just look greasy. I have just started using this one it’s the same company as my oil cleanser. Its infused with collagen to combat fine lines and wrinkles, carrot to have a healthy complexion/ glow and lactic acid to remove dirt and oil.
Face Scrub
I would use face scrub maybe once or twice a week, depending on how I’m feeling or if I want to spend the time to do it or not. I look for ones that are not harsh and natural as possible. Right now I and loving anything turmeric based as its meant to be very good for the complexion and evening out skin tone.
Masks
Again depending on my mood I would maybe do masks twice a week (or more to be honest), I rotate between The body shop’s Himalayan Charcoal Purifying Glow Mask/ Japanese Matcha Tea Pollution Clearing Mask or sheet masks. The sheet mask’s I really like are any with green tea or tea tree. I’m also using a honey sheet mask’s as the weather is very cold and the wind makes my face feel sore.
Toner
For a toner, I use toner water, as I also have sensitive skin most toners make me break out and this is the best solution for me. I love this Tea Tree Water by Lush, I have been using this for years and I cant live without it. When I went on holiday last year without it could tell my skin was missing it. My face feels so fresh and ready for anything, so I use it day and night.
Serum & Moisturiser
I’m still new to all the different serums and moisturisers out there, I’m really basic and have just one of each. I have a vitamin c serum to help with ageing and brighten my skin, and an anti-blemish cream to help fight spots.
So that’s my skincare routine, I hope you try out some of these products as I wouldn’t write about them if I didn’t think they were good. So get googling on Korean 10 Step Skincare and find what will work for you.
